Use with Zoom

Pipe a live Facecast face swap into Zoom via OBS Virtual Camera. Works in any Zoom client (desktop / mobile-with-USB-camera / web).

By Facecast TeamUpdated

Requirements

  • Active Facecast session
  • OBS Studio with OBS Virtual Camera
  • Zoom desktop app (latest)

Steps

1

Start the swap in your browser

Open facecast.org/faceswap, allow camera access, and pick a face. Leave the tab open — Zoom doesn't read it directly; OBS will.

2

Capture the browser tab in OBS

Follow the OBS guide: add a Window Capture source pointed at the browser tab and start OBS Virtual Camera. Do this once — OBS remembers the source.

Tip: Once OBS Window Capture is set up, you can keep the same browser tab and the same OBS scene across all your meetings.
3

Select OBS Virtual Camera in Zoom

Open Zoom → Settings → Video → Camera dropdown → "OBS Virtual Camera". The swapped feed appears in the Zoom preview.

4

Join or start your meeting

Start / join the meeting as usual. Participants see the chosen face with your real expressions and head movements — no plugin install required on their side.

Tip: Zoom enterprise tenants that block plugins still allow virtual cameras — OBS Virtual Camera looks like any other webcam to Zoom.
